If a student cannot login to TYP it is likely that they have forgotten their password. Students with access to their email can reset their password themselves.

If the student does not have a working email address attached to their Schoolbag account, or they do not receive the password reset email after filling out the forgotten password form, any of their class teachers or the TYP coordinator can reset the student's password on their behalf.

Reset a student password as a class teacher:

1. Go to the Classes area.

2. Click on a class to which the student belongs and then on the Students section of that class's homepage.

3. To reset the password of a student, click on the student's profile picture to view their account details.

4. You will see two options to generate a temporary password or send a password reset email to the email address listed in the account details section.

5. Either send an email to the listed email address or generate a temporary password. You just need to communicate this temporary password to the student for them to then be able to login.

6. When the student logs in with their temporary password they will be prompted to set a new proper password.
